Documentation wiki

Started by bob1947 on May 01, 10
OK, this is the last thing I'd want any of the core developers to take their time on, but the site has gotten rich enough that you can waste a lot of time figuring things out. It needs documentation. More than the "How do I" dropdown might be able to cover. Could you enable a documentation wiki? There seems to be enough of a community that could fill that in and check one another. The core people could check in and correct when/if they had time.

+ MANY!!!!

It is typical programmer menality; they get it to work and think they are done. But the reality is that it's NOT 'done' until the user can get it to work.

I wonder how many man-hours are lost on all of us poking around and around figuring out how this works... sure would be nice to have or share some documentation.

The site is virtually USELESS w/o documentation!!!

No, the site is *not* virtually useless. The site is actually very useful. I felt very comfortable sending some money for such a useful site. Thanks, guys!

I like the fact that there isn't any documentation, the site and it's features should be intuitive. But, I would like to have more (trackable, public) interaction with the developers and other users. Problems, suggestions, work arounds, phone specific comments, there are sooo many topics - and there simply isn't a venue for discussing our solutions. Thanks ridewithgps for being so attractive and ad-free!!! (I already sent them a donation)
