Editing - Drag and drop

When editing a route, D&D works fine - the first time. When dragging for the second time, the previously dragged part jumps back to its original.

Oh good! I thought it was just me! Yes, once I've made a mistake in routing, I pretty much have to start all over from scratch. There really is no way to reasonably drag/drop a new route.

When I do get it right, I go to SAVE and it won't let me UPDATE. I have to save it as a new route. Then I notice another mistake and end up saving another new route. Etc... etc...etc. This site seems to be the best one I've found, but do I have to learn by trial and error. Where is HELP or instructions on how to use it?
