Total trips Ridden

Today I uploaded all of my trips ever loged with my GPS. On my profile page I see this:
Total Trips Ridden: 16, totalling 407.5 km
Total Routes Mapped: 17, totalling 447.2 km
Why do trips ridden and routes mapped differ?
