Compute average cadence using non-zero cadences

Started by David McCormick on Jun 06, 11
Comparing to my Garmin 800, the average cadences you compute are much lower. I'm pretty confident that my average cadences are closer to what the Garmin computes. I think the difference might lie in throwing out when the cadence is zero (eg, on a descent) and only average when there are non-zero cadences. Maybe you could have an option for computing with non-zero cadences only. Thanks, David

This is on our roadmap, and I've gone as far as getting it mostly wired up, I just need to finish testing and do a few other things. It'll be a few weeks (have to launch a new version of the site with all new javascript maps first), but it will be done! We will add the same option for power, for those lucky enough to have power meters, as well as an input box for specifying a stopped speed time. We default to considering 2mph as "stopped", but some people like it to be higher/lower.
