The See San Ysidro ride follows US 550 to San Ysidro and provides awesome views of the Jemez Mountains to the north and the wilderness study areas to the south and the Sandia Mountains on the return. This ride is a good one for the winter months. It can be pretty hot in the summer. The route is pretty open and vulnerable to the winds. Alternate start locations include the Santa Ana Casino in Bernalillo and the Coronado National Monument parking lot. This is a favorite training ride since there are no stop signs or traffic lights west of the intersection with NM 528

Atrocious amounts of traffic for a Saturday morning. After 3 hours I was tired of packs of cars rushing by at 75mph. Wide enough shoulder with rubble. Find another route if you can
