This is my best combination of Queen Anne, Magnolia, and Myrtle Edwards park. I recommend this ride for rider that are Steady pace or above. This is not a flat ride but has many awesome views that make the climbing well worth the effort. The ride has a nice long warm up along the Ship canal paing through Fishermans Terminal and passing the Locks. A quick steep climb then brings you up to the lower Parking lot of Discovery Park. I then go through the quiet military base headed South To Government Way. 31st Ave is a great climb to the top of the hill. There are two amazing viewpoints on the East side to behold. One on the corner of W Fulton and 27th and the other at the path through Ella Baily Park. Continue South after the park to find yourself near the top of Thorndyke. This usually is a long ugly grind. Poised near the top you now follow the West primemter gaining fantastic views of Puget Sound. The ride continues through Discovery Park and onto Queen Anne Hill. The first part up Dravus is Steep and sucks. Sorry. Once up though you are rewarded with more nice roads with some awesome viewpoints including Kerry Park. From there you head down town past the Space Needle and drop down to Elliot Bay Park. This has a pleasant trail along the waterfront heading back North. Now you cut between Magnolia and Queen Anne back to the ship canal trail for sweet return back to Gasworks park. I hope you try out this route.
