Butter Lap -- a casual, no drops ride around the city every Wednesday evening, starting at the Ferry Building at 7pm and ending at Bender's at 19th & S Van Ness (not shown) around 9-9:30.
Typical wait-for-stragglers-and-regroup locations (also useful if you're trying to intercept the ride) are at:
1. The top of the small Fort Mason hill (mile 2.3 on this map; you can hover your mouse over the hill on the elevation profile to see where it is)
2. The top of the Presidio hill just past the bridge (mile 6)
3. The Palace of the Legion of Honor parking lot (mile 8)
4. Briefly at the top of the last hill before the beach (mile 9.1), before a no-pedaling race to the bottom.
5. The beach (mile 10.5)
6. The end of the panhandle (mile 14)

Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800 including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 605 and 705, but will not have any custom cues. Edge 605/705 users follow these instructions.
