Yeah, bike paths are a little troublesome. I am working on something (mentally right now) to get around this. I can't fix out of date satellite images, or a lack of bike paths on the map view, but, I can offer snippets that you can draw out once and save, then copy and paste into any route. Would be cool to auto suggest snippets when drawing (ones that other people have drawn), but not sure how efficient that will be.

On another note, it's nice being able to track all your mileage, isn't it? Glad to see you getting some good use out of the site, and keep the suggestions coming!

Its a decent route for sure. Nice stretch along the grass is nice and easy on the knees.

  • Garmin Training Center (.tcx)

Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800 including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrum trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 605 and 705, but will not have any custom cues. Edge 605/705 users follow these instructions.
