Seattle is as great a cycling city as they come. It is predominantly road riding in-city, but with loads of hidden trail networks, gravel connectors, bike paths, and cycleways tucked in and around the periphery, exploring is part of the adventure! There are in-city classics like Lake Washington Boulevard, the Mercer Island Loop and the Burke-Gilman Trail which connects the city to Kenmore, Juanita, and Kirkland around the north end of Lake Washington. Additionally, Vashon, Bainbridge, and the San Juan Islands are just a bike-friendly ferry ride away. The greater Seattle metropolitan area's urban cycling infrastructure is second to none on the West Coast.
