Job Summary

We’re in search of an experienced Account Manager to support our mission of helping organizations around the world deliver better rides, more often to their members and communities. This is an exciting new position due to the growth of our Organizations program, and the right candidate will be excited about proactively continuing its expansion while simultaneously retaining our existing partners.

The Position

You will play an integral role in the maintenance and growth of our Organizations program, working with cycling clubs, events, bike shops, tourism departments, and tour operators around the world. If you enjoy solving complex software problems with limited oversight and possess a strong independent work ethic, this is the position for you.

This Account Manager will work closely with our Relationship Manager and focus on the sales, onboarding, and retention for our Organizations program around the globe. Additionally, you will work with our partners on value-based initiatives to expand our program to their members for adoption, and assist them with developing local community content our entire membership can enjoy.

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop sales opportunities by identifying, researching, and engaging with potential partners who would benefit from adopting our software tools and converting them into new accounts
  • Conduct onboarding webinars for new partners and their members/community, as well as ad hoc video tutorials for select partners
  • Perform quarterly check-ins with our existing partners via email, phone, and video calls to ensure they are effectively using our software and delivering value to their members
  • Develop an expert working knowledge of our software platform, the value it can deliver, and work with partners to adopt our tools to grow overall membership numbers of our Organizations program
  • Provide timely, expert technical support for our partners through our ticketing system and via email
  • Work with regional partners to help them develop curated content for their local community that’s promoted across our entire platform
  • Perform daily and monthly account billing tasks
  • Assist our Consumer Customer Success team with ad hoc projects
  • Perform consumer 1:1 webinars on an as-needed basis
  • Ability to deliver results for the business with limited oversight
  • Demonstrated success in account and customer management with a history of driving both growth and retention
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience virtually presenting software solutions to individuals and groups
  • A self-starter who is highly motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Familiarity with maintaining and leveraging a CRM
  • Experience in the bike industry preferred

Our website is used to plan bike routes and events, manage bike clubs, analyze ride data, and publish great rides. Our companion app is a bike computer, route navigator, and ride recorder. Within the cycling world, we serve weekend riders, clubs, event organizers, tour operators, and racers.

The business has been customer-funded since we started in 2007.

We strongly believe in testing our own software, and as a result are more than happy to help defray some of the costs of cycling, including offering a one-time new bicycle stipend as well as an annual bike supply budget.

Ride with GPS is a remote first workplace with team members all across North America. We have a small office in Portland, OR that staff is welcome to use as desired.
