To view and manage your account settings, follow these steps from any page on Ride with GPS.
- Select your profile icon in the upper right corner
- Click Settings
Account
The e-mail field contains the address you used to register your account and sign into the website. You can change your e-mail address at any time. If you get the error code about e-mail already in use then there is another registered account using that e-mail.
You can also change your password to whatever you wish. There are no password restrictions on length or complexity.
Make sure to click the SAVE button to retain all your changes.
Change Profile Photo
Click ADD PHOTOS to upload more photos to your profile.
Click your current profile photo to view all available profile photos if you have more than one.
While viewing the photo you would like to set as your profile pic, click SET AS COVER.
You can also rotate the photo, download the original, or delete from this view.
Location
This is where you will set your default starting location when planning routes.
Make sure to click the SAVE button to retain your location change.
Privacy Zones
Here you can set up your own Privacy Zones to obscure the location of your home or workplace.
Preferences
Site-wide
Click on the Preferences to change the distance units to metric, change the date format, select the default gear for uploaded rides, default privacy settings for rides and routes, and disable participation from segments.
Notifications
You can change the Notification settings to determine what kind of e-mails you will receive from Ride with GPS.
Preferred Homepage
You can also set your preferred Homepage for the website to open to.
Private Profile
Choosing Private will hide your profile from everyone including internet search engines. There is an optional link in the blue box to retroactively make EVERYTHING private. Setting the Friends Only means that only friend connections on Ride with GPS will see your profile. Public is the default setting.
You can also set the default privacy of your rides and routes. These settings are NOT retro active, they only apply to NEW rides and routes.
Make sure to click the SAVE button to retain all your changes.
Backups
Backups allow you to mass-backup all your recorded rides for download to your computer. We backup our servers every day so you don’t have to worry about data loss, but if you want to get all your data onto your computer, this tool gives you that option.
Connected Services
The Connected Services tab allows you to link your profile to your Facebook account and Garmin Connect account so that you can take advantage of the Automatic Sync feature.
Upgrade or Manage Subscription
Free accounts will see UPGRADE where they can choose the new subscription level and enter payment information.
Basic and Premium accounts will see this tab as MANAGE SUBSCRIPTION where they can update payment info and change their subscription level at any time.
Starter members: Visit Choose Account to upgrade to Basic or Premium.
Premium and Basic members: If you are currently have a paid membership, go to Manage Subscription to make changes to your membership.
iPhone in-app purchases: If you purchased your subscription through the app on iPhone, learn how to manage your subscription here.
Android in-app purchases: If you purchased your subscription through the Android App, learn more about Google Play Store Subscription Management.
Health
Enter some basic information so that recorded rides can more accurately calculate your caloric expenditure.
Widget
If you want to include your career stats or latest ride history on your blog or website, set up a Profile Widget on this tab.
Use Access Token
Access tokens are codes that can be given out as promotional or gift items found in our online shop. Go to this tab to redeem a code and apply it to your account.
