Welcome to the Ohio to Erie Trail!

This scenic 326 mile trail links the Ohio River to Lake Erie, primarily on rail trails and canal paths. It traverses four major cities, numerous quaint small towns and miles of pastoral countryside. This website is your source for getting the most out of your visit, whether you’re taking a short walk or you are planning to join the 326 mile club by riding, hiking, skating, or otherwise traveling the whole trail. Southbound: After crossing Maxtown Road, go west (right) on the sidepath towards State Street and continue west on the Polaris Parkway sidepath. At Cleveland Ave, go south (left) on the sidepath and follow it towards Heritage Park where it connects to the Alum Creek Trail. Continue south on the ACT under Schrock Road to the Westerville Corporate limit where the Ohio to Erie and Alum Creek trails merge and continue south.

Northbound: Enter the Westerville corporate limits on the Alum Creek Trail/Ohio to Erie Trail northbound and continue on the Alum Creek Trail until just north of Heritage Park, where it intersects with the Cleveland Avenue sidepath; follow the Cleveland Avenue Sidepath north to the Polaris Parkway Trail, eastbound. Continue on the Polaris Parkway Trail to the intersection with the Ohio to Erie Trail, cross Maxtown Road (Polaris Parkway) at the McCorkle intersection.
