to keep us awake. There is also an option to shorten the ride to 63kms if

our-35kms-soci\n\nRide Leaders- Walter & Heather\n\nWe'll ride from Franks
ton Station along the Frankston-Baxter Trail and a few back roads then the
Western Port Bay Trail to Cribb Point for a tour of the HMAS Cerberus Mus
eum starting at 12pm (lunch included). After the tour we'll continue to Cr
ibb Point Station where we can catch the 4.33pm Sprinter train back to Fra
nkston\, or those who are keen can ride back.\n\nThe Museum of HMAS Cerber
us opened in 1980 in the building that was first built in 1925 as the New
Entry Study Block\, firstly occupying one room. The collection has grown f
rom its humble beginning to now be one of the Largest of Royal Australian
Naval memorabilia.\n\nThe Museum grew in the past through the dedication o
f ex-naval personnel giving of their time and various skills. In 2005 the
collection came under the umbrella of the Naval Heritage Centre and in a s
hort time has seen many changes\, taking on a more modern approach but sti
ll managing to keep the old style charm that has made the “CRADLE OF THE
NAVY” collection unique.\n\nCost of entry is $18 including lunch.\n\n**

de will be bitumen for 8kms before we hit the dirt at Kennedys Lane\, this
section is the old convict road that takes us down to the crossing at Dee
p Creek where Cobb & Co. coaches once rattled on their way north from Melb
ourne. After this section we ride east for another 7kms of bitumen before
turning north and hitting the dirt again until we come to our lunch stop a

the majority of the way back to Monegeetta.\n\nhttps://www.meetup.com/Melb

DESCRIPTION:https://ridewithgps.com/events/126023-chasing-hiawatha\n\nThis
Easter tour is an exploration of parts of South Gippsland familiar to club
members\, and parts that are rarely visited. We shall commence from Warra
gul and ride across the ranges to Leongatha to join the rail trail and rid
e to Meeniyan for a delightful camp right in town. next day we complete th
e rail trail to Welshpool and camp at Port Welshpool. Easter Sunday will i
nvolve a visit to Hiawatha\, then a climb into the forest to the Grand Rid
ge rd from where we descend the Morwell River valley to Boolara for a camp
site at the Boolara Community Hotel. The final day we take the Grand Ridge
Trail to Mirboo North to follow the Grand Ridge Rd to Hallston\, then the
Moonlight Creek Rd past Mt Worth to return to Warragul.\n\nThis tour is g
oing to very dependent upon the situation re COVUD 19 and everybody being
able to access foodstuffs to carry. The first night we may be able to eat
dinner in Meeniyan\, and possibly the second night at Port Welshpool. The
final night we have the Boolara pub\, so dinners are a choice of eating ou
t\, or carrying food. Lunch will definitely need to be carried for Easter
Sunday\, otherwise we are passing through townships with stores and bakeri
 es.

the perfect place to go for a ride. This time we'll check out a section to
the north in Wombat Forest.\n\nThe terrain will vary from well maintained
unsealed roads to fire access trails to rough dirt tracks. A reasonable l

the pace will vary according to the terrain and there may be some walking
on steep sections. Bring snacks & water for the day.\n\nhttps://www.meetup

p-32kms-670vm\n\nLerderderg State Park is a little gem in Melbourne's back
yard\, great scenery\, fresh air\, lots of trees\, and not many humans- th
e perfect place to go for a ride.\n\nThe terrain will vary from well maint
ained unsealed roads to fire access trails to rough dirt tracks and single
track. There are several bailout options in case the going gets too tough
. A reasonable level of fitness and endurance will be required but it's al
so not a race\, and the pace will vary according to the terrain. Bring eno
ugh food & water for the day\, we'll stop for lunch somewhere along the wa
 y.\n\nhttps://www.meetup.com/Melbourne-Bicycle-Touring-Club/events/2708056

ed to carry food with us. I recommend bringing most food from Melbourne if
  possible.\n\nBoth camp sites have basic facilities\; toilets\, water\, an
