I rode this early on a Sunday morning, so there was less traffic. Drivers were considerate and patient.
It's a gorgeous route, but there are no shoulders for any of the route. On some of the curvy hills, cars were backed up behind us and would "floor it" when they got some open space. We rode late morning on a weekday, so we didn't expect a ton of traffic. That was wrong!
Ride by two herds of cows. Good mix of mild up- and downhills. Quiet and mostly rural/residential but traffic picks up 7:45a - 9a as people head to work and school so I avoid it at that time — there are no bike lanes and not much of a shoulder so you’re sharing the two-lane road. Also the stretch crossing Tunnel Road near the beginning, and riding along Tunnel Road near the end, stinks big time due to traffic, but that’s only a short part of it.
