Great Rides Tacoma - Foothills Trail

This route follows the Foothills Trail. Departing from Orting, WA, this rails to trails conversion parallels the Carbon River. The segment between Orting and South Prairie offers great views of Mount Rainer and agricultural land. Climbing out of South Prairie is slight grade, as the trail winds through the forest canopy into the town of Buckley. This is a great family ride, and can be done in full or completed in smaller segments.
