Great Rides Marin County - Santa Venetia Marsh Preserve Loop

San Rafael (north of San Pedro Blvd)

Enjoy a 1.2 mile loop along the levee of the small salt marsh. As you ride, keep an eye out for northern harriers, white-tailed kites, and red-tailed hawks that search the levees for voles and other rodents. The Santa Venetia Marsh is also one of the few places in the county where the pygmy blue butterfly can be found.
