This is a favorite ride for the residents of the Five Cities area. It features a ride through a lovely setting: lots of small farms and ranchettes, fields of flowers, big oaks and sycamores shading the road, Tar Spring Creek meanders alongside, light traffic, rolling hills that let you challenge yourself as much as you want.
If you want a shorter ride, you can stop at the top of the first hill, and return - a nice 25 mile ride.
The ride down Huasna Valley features three miles of rolling hills with a downward gradient to a wooden bridge that also crosses the Huasna River. This is the northernmost arm of Twitchell Reservoir. Again the pavement ends at that point.
