Park at the Happy Hollow WMA gravel just off Highway 50 and in less than a half a mile you're on gravel. The first 22 miles clocks in at 2,200 feet. Little Piney Road on the return is a bumpy, rocky blast. All but about three miles of this route are gravel.

It is great if you have riding experience. This route has less traffic activity just some dual sports bikes, utz, atv and locals, plenty of beautiful views, minimal pavement and minimal creak crossing probably crossed total of 5 creaks you don't like to get your shoes wet. The entire route is a mix of compact gravel, loose gravel and tiny peebles to rocks
There are dogs encountered on the 10th and 19th mile. On the last 5 miles the road are mostly covered with rocks making it hard for my wife a begginer to ride fast so we have to slow down on a descent ffor about 2.1 miles. Plenty of really steep climbs 12-13% gradient. Overall, my wife enjoyed the trail even if it were her 1st time on a gravel trail and her longest ride on a bike.
Very little paved sections, and even on those we encountered almost zero traffic. It is a lot of climbing.. so make sure you are ready for that.
Varied terrain, only ~3 miles pavement, smooth gravel roads
