1) Morro Rock: a Peregrine Falcon sanctuary
2) Black Hill: inside Morro Bay State Park; possibly named from black tar seepage
3) Cerro Cabrillo: also part of the State Park
4) Hollister Peak: gorgeous rocky outcrops; not open to public use
5) Cerro Romauldo: partially on land owned by the state; National Guard uses it for fitness training
6) Chumash Peak
7) Bishop Peak: tallest; some of it is protected natural area
8) Cerro San Luis : in the heart of SLO
9) Islay Hill: under siege by housing development
