Christmas Ships Bike Route 2021

Route to follow the Christmas Ships in 2021 going south from Riverplace Marina. Following the ships by bike is easy, as they cruise at around 7 MPH. This is 17.7 miles round trip turning around at Rivervilla Park, or 14 miles round trip turning around at Milwaukie Bay Park. It can be shortened to 7 miles taking MAX back from Milwaukie. Note that only the Dec. 10 dates go up Holgate Channel affording an excellent view of the ships from the culvert viewing platform on the Springwater Corridor. The Dec. 18 date is the only one combining the Willamette River and Columbia River fleets. Dec. 18 is also the only date where the ships can be viewed from Rivervilla Park by continuing south from Milwaukie Bay Park.
