Super fun route from the state park that uses Bacona and then drops down to the lakes and takes the Crown-Zellerbach trail back through Vernonia to the park. We climbed Hoffman right at the end just so we could roll into camp down the sweet singletrack (instead of more miles on the B-V).

Just did this ride! Its nuts. The climb out of Stub Stewart is burly but nice. Eventually hit terrible large rock gravel road that was almost un-bikeable. I imagine the road quality has changed since this loop was first done. Lots of active logging roads, fresh large rock gravel and many spurs roads off the main road we easily could've gotten lost on if it weren't for our gps. Still - it was beautiful and a fun adventure. We descended down to the Crown-Zeller bike trail that was truly heavenly and muddy. Got a flat near the hwy 47 intersection. Decided to continue on CZ trail, assuming it was like the last bit but it was a climb! 1.5 miles up and around a bunch of clear cuts and another un-bikeable decent down to the end of the trail in Vernonia. I recommend sticking to the route and go up and around on 47 to Vernonia. The rest was a breeze and delightful. Definitely a ride to remember.
