Quail Prairie Lookout Loop

All gravel loop starting at South Fork Campground. The climb to the lookout is exposed and hot during the summer so bring plenty of water. There are no water sources along the ride. The area was burned in the 2017 Chetco Bar Fire. Packers cabin is located off a short spur road on the way up to the lookout. There is some shade and a picnic table there. The lookout is a nice stopping point with good views but it is in disrepair. Great loop on a standard gravel bike or mountain bike. To extend the trip, you could ride up to Vulcan Peak as an out and back.
