This ride was a reprise of the ride I did last week.
Although it was a Sunday ride, some of the streets were heavily trafficed causing me to take to the shared pedestrian bicycle route which ran alongside the street. Traffic moved at speeds exceeding 50 mph and the street had no bike Lane.
I got hungry enough so that I stopped at a local taquierie for a couple of tacos.
But after all, it was a good Sunday for a bike ride .
This ride occurred on Dec 31, 2024.
I think this is a route for an experienced cyclist because of some really rough surface and bike lanes which suddenly end.
The sidewalk bike lane is seductive but you might find pedestrians who have the right away blocking you, or you are suddenly cut off by turning cars at a street crossing, or finding your sidewalk lane suddenly ending at a sand pit.
That said, it is “only” 25 miles.
The upside? It’s a bicycle ride.
