If you take on this large day of cycling, you will be rewarded with some excellent terrain that will feel like it was purpose built for cycling. When you hit the Timbarra National Park you will experience some sandy, double track and relatively steep country before rolling into the quiet valley that houses Boorook Station - a perfect winding road that oozes charm and peacefulness.
There is a spectacular swimming spot at kilometre 71 by the Boonoo Boonoo River which will give you the life back you need in order to climb the Harrigans Lane ascent - so steep it has been paved, which may still not give the average cyclist enough traction and will likely need to be walked.
The friendly gradients home along the Mount Lindesay Road will help you roll back into Tenterfield after a long day.
