We will start at Golden's Bridge in Westchester, but travel north towards Carmel Hamlet and the beautiful Croton Falls and Middle Branch Reservoirs. Additional paved riding is required to access that northern loop, but the roads are nice, and it's definitely worth the trip! These routes have much milder climbs than we did in our Cold Spring ride, but you should still expect some hills.
Refueling: Mile 33 at Hayfields Market. Grab-and-go foods for efficiency, please. We can hang out and eat more substantial food at the end of the ride. Hayfields has baked goods, a water cooler (free bottle filling), but no sports drinks.
End of Ride Gathering: We'll tailgate at Golden's Bridge Station (parking lot). There's a supermarket, Pizzeria, Dunkin Donuts, Subway, and Sushi place across the street. Kathy and I will also bring some cold drinks and snacks in a cooler.
All routes (short, medium, long) will be the same for the first 37 miles. If you pick a group that is a bit too fast, it should be easy to drop back to the next group. Just wait a bit and they'll catch up to you.
