[This route is adapted from/based on the 50-ish mile Biglerville Loop used by the Hanover Cyclers, for their Labor Day Century event. The Hanover Cyclers' LDC rides start at & finish from the Irishtown Fire Company.] Scenic meander around Adams County, leaving directly from our hotels in Gettysburg. Several close encounters with peaceful and picturesque creeks. On our return, we will ride through a small section of the Battlefield. Quick bathroom break if needed at Mile 13 at Irishtown Fire Company. Rest break for coffee/snack if needed at Mile 19 on New Oxford at Deja Brew. LUNCH stop in Biglersville at Mile 36 (Subway, 7-11, Sunoco, or Kennie's Market). On the Return, quick stop at the Gettysburg National Military Park (Battleifield) Visitors Center at Mile 55. The Visitors Center has clean bathrooms, water fountain, and some possibly some pre-packaged snacks for sale in the Gift Shop. If you need a more substantial snack when you get to the Battlefield, you can detour off this route about a mile north on Steinwehr Ave to Bantam Coffee Roasters at 82 Steinwehr, then, reverse to rejoin the regular route.

This route is VERY hilly with lots of rolling hills, plus it goes past the important monuments in Gettysburg National Military Park.
