Bourbon State Fishing Lake is known for it's amazing beauty and great fishing. Not only is this location one of the most picturesque areas in the entire county, but it is also rumored to have an interesting history. Local historians claim that just to the east of the lake there once stood a small village where a group of freed slaves settled.
