This is the Long Distance Course for the Gravel Unravel Why-Not-chee race. This course is no joke, and takes you through some of the highest elevations in the immediate area. You will warm up over the "Big Creek Loop" off of FS 23 road (Donkey Creek Road) before heading alongside the lake and crossing beautiful Maidenhair Falls, which is the one mile of mandatory singletrack on the course. You will then do the "Wynoochee Pass Loop" following the entirety of FS 2270 passing mere yards from the Olympic National Park boundary, before descending to almost lakeside. You will then turn up FS 2372 which will take you to an incredible view of the lake, before descending, turning, then climbing again to Dusk Point. The descent from Dusk Point will then bring you to the "backside" of Satsop Center.
