Wareham, Sandbanks>Studland ferry, over Lulworth ranges, Weymouth, Axminster (turn), Dorchester, Wareham
Variations:
1) Take the lovely cycle track on the edge of Poole harbour, (R imm after crossing bridge from Hamworthy)
2) Rough stuff for a mile north of (and bypassing) West Knighton and avoid climb on main(er) road from Broadmayne.
3) Direct(er but v diff to describe on routesheet) exit NW from Weymouth control to Nottington
4) Main road for 900m at Morecombelake (avoiding difficult narrow descent through Ryall)
5) Off Eggardon Hill, great descent N to Maiden Newton and then A352 (passed by one car in 5km!) and (cycle track alongside) A37 into Dorchester.
