From Merewether Beach, ride along the coast to Nobbys lighthouse with a coffee stop at Swell@Nobby's on the way. Ferry across the Hunter River to Stockton, and along shared path to the Hunter Wetlands. Return south to Lexies on the Beach for lunch before cycling out to the northern breakwater. Back across the Ferry then along the Hunter water front and interesting inner suburban Newcastle. Mostly flat except for a 60m hill a few kms from the Mereweather.

NOTES:
The Fredrick street car park has limited parking and many of the car parks nearby like the Merewether Beach Carpark have 4 hr limits.
( 4 hrs would make the ride a bit rushed and bring on parking fine anxiety ) However there is plenty of non-timed quiet street parking in the residential areas behind the beach.

The Ferry across the Hunter River takes bikes and uses Opal cards
