OVERVIEW This is a round trip of about 32 miles, ie 16 miles each way, with a refreshment stop in Hampden Park, Eastbourne. It's a fairly easy going apart from Chapel Hill which is quite a challenging climb for most cyclists. There's a good view at the top. The return trip is along the same route as the outward trip.
TERRAIN Most of the route is reasonably flat or mildly undulating and includes a section along the Cuckoo Trail. There is a major climb at Chapel Hill near Lullington which is a significant climb on the outward trip. On the return trip Chapel Hill is climbed on the Wilmington side which is less steep.
REFRESHMENT STOP This is at Lakeside Tea Chalet in Hampden Park.
