Caltrans District 9

Caltrans District 9 is based of Bishop, CA and manages the state highway system in Inyo, Mono and Eastern Kern County. From the lowest point in North America in Death Valley to California's highest peak at Mt. Whitney, our district contains some of the most diverse and stunning scenery to be found along the state highway system. There are many excellent cycling routes that traverse across the deserts, mountains, and forests in District 9.
