Starting in downtown Saratoga at Congress Park, this route heads east towards the lake and then out through rolling countryside to the Saratoga Battlefield. A road or gravel bike is ideal for this ride, one of our favorite parts being when you intersect the lakeside. Manageable for a beginner road cyclist or intermediate rider on an easier day. If you would like to add an extra 10 miles, enter the Saratoga National Historical Park and enjoy scenic vistas and quiet roads with some hills.

This route keeps you off Union / 9P through town and crosses over I-87 / Thruway to bring you to the Saratoga Lake. The lake offers a pretty view but keep an eye out for the narrow shoulder that isn't in great condition. Use wider tires for the rough roads. Road bikes or fitness bikes recommended.

Begin at Trek Bikes in Saratoga and after short ride, you'll be out of Saratoga and into the country side. Expect a steady elevation gain on the way out with a decline on the way back into town. Ormsbeed and Plank are both steep climbs but reward you with beautiful views. Road bikes are recommended or gravel bikes as there are a few rougher roads and you may appreciate the lower gearing on Ormsbee! Do this ride if you want some of the steepest climbs in the area.

This route heads east out of town through some of Saratoga Counties most scenic farmland. Sections of the Fish Creek, as it flows toward the Hudson River, can be seen along the way. There are a few gentle hill climbs to keep your leg muscles working. When you crest a hill at about 9 miles, look up to catch a glimpse of the monument off in the distance. Go on this ride when the monument is open, so you can enjoy the Gothic and Egyptian architectural features on the inside. Road and fitness bikes are ideal.

A pretty ride, almost entirely on quiet roads that are in good shape. A bit hilly but worth the back country roads of Saratoga. Road or fitness bike if you are looking for a shorter road ride that showcases what cycling in Saratoga is all about.

20 miles through beautiful rolling farm land. For the majority of the route the traffic is light and the houses few. The grades are easy to moderate, with a few significant hills near the end. Fitness bikes, or road would be suitable for the beginner to intermediate rider on this route.

From the Factory in Ballston Spa, route heads north to the headwaters of the Kayderosseras Creek, then back south along the creek wherever possible. You could also do it as an out and back, but the real treat is riding along the creek on the way back, some of the views are fantastic, and you'll be on the side of the road closest to the creek that way, too. The terrain consists of rolling hills, not long extended climbs. Road bikes are recommended and there are several convenience stores along the way for a rest if need be.

This ride will keep you working with two significant uphill sections. The ride starts on the east side of the Palmertown Range. It then continues northeast along the Hudson River before heading back over the mountain range. Grant Mountain and a large section of Moreau Lake State Park lie within the perimeter of the route. When you start riding south, the route goes along Old Saratoga Rd, which can be a little bumpy in spots. Wilton Mountain and Spier falls are steep climbs with moderate length. Road bikes and a desire to test your fitness are necessary for this short but challenging ride!

Park at the Warren County Bikeway Parking Lot on County Line Rd, Queensbury. Ride along town roads east to scenic rolling farmlands in Washington County. Visit Lock 9 on the Champlain Canal (just off Route 149) to view boats going through the lock; or continue to follow cue sheet directions back to the Bikeway Parking Lot. .

A bike ride through the hills of Saratoga and Washington Counties beginning at the Battlefield, advancing to the National Cemetery, and continuing on though the scenic country side. Road bikes are ideal for this route suitable for beginner or intermediate riders. The roads by the river offer some welcome flats to the hills surrounding the area.

A tour through the Saratoga National Historical Park battlefield. Beautiful vistas and historic landmarks that make the rolling hills wrth it. The Battlefield is well maintained, there is parking and restrooms at the start and a wide bike lane to make it bike/car friendly. It is open to all abilities and ages and styles of bikes, although the few hills along the course make for a great workout!

A backbone of the county trail system, this 9-mile multi-use trail connects Ballston Spa to Coon’s Crossing in Halfmoon through the towns of Ballston, Malta and Clifton Park and the village of Round Lake. This flat and family friendly path is pavement with the first and last few miles are gravel.

Luther Forest has a lot of nice back roads, all paved, includes a loop of the Saratoga National Battlefield Park. Road or fitness bike on these rolling country roads. Go for the peaceful country side and historic views at the Battlefield.

The reservoir has some beautiful views on quiet roads. Rolling terrain and flat roads allow for road and fitness bikes and a variety of fitness levels.

Beautiful ride along Lake George and Brant Lake. There is a grinding, long hill up Graphite Mountain, original birthplace of the Ticonderoga #2 Pencil. Enjoy the descent then ride along Brant lake and Schroon River. The road alongside Lake George has a small shoulder and can be busy with traffic in the summer time. Ride earlier in the day to avoid it. Road bikes are recommended. Do this ride if you want views of the Adirondack mountains and lakes.
