Jon was raised on an Iowa farm, milking cows, chasing pigs, fixing fences. His adventurous spirit has taken him over 1000 miles of whitewater canoeing in Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, New York, and Pennsylvania, over 2,000 miles of square-rigged sailing on a replica of Columbus’ Santa Maria, and over 15,000 miles cycling across Florida and all the way across the United States.

Jon is a digital designer, a professional keyboardist, and a Scriptural Communicator, with the ability to memorize and present long passages of the Bible.

Jon has had 10 (scratch that....now 12!) surgeries in the past 2 years, (including getting his right knee scoped on New Year’s Eve, 4 months before the Tour started; that’s a tough one for a triker), and he’s been diagnosed with CLL, chronic lymphocytic leukemia. That being said, in 2021, Jon started a 5,000 miles journey from Florida to Alaska on his recumbent tricycle, in support of the non-profit, God's Hands Agency.

The theme of this, their FOURTH Mission Possible Tour is "It Ain't Too Late!"...and the CAUSE is "Get The Word Out". GET THE WORD OUT, out of your HEAD and into your HEART.

For some, JESUS is a fake word, or a phony word, but the evidence is too great. You can either accept Jesus for who He said He was, or you can ignore Him. Those are your only two choices.

But the deal is, if He REALLY did raise from the DEAD, then we had better pay attention to what He said! Truly, it is going to be the most IMPORTANT thing you EVER do!

The past 2 years have been tough for everybody. Hey, every single one of us has problems...maybe you even have more than Jon. But...Jon is made in the image of God, every single one of YOU is made in the image of God, too! And this day, THIS day, is a day HE made. DO something with it!
Over the course of the 5 months, Jon asked hundreds upon hundreds of people of all shapes and sizes, “What is YOUR gift?”

And if you have lost some capabilities that you once had, find a new one! Adjust the old ones. God has given EACH of you a gift, from His great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them to help out someone else.

So, follow the blog....the trip got underway April 1, 2021, and he reached Ketchikan, Alaska on August 20, 2021, on Day 142 of his incredible journey. Over the course of the 5 months he crossed 8 Continental Divides, and climbed over 182,000 feet.
