Ride # 2 in the NTR North Yorkshire Climb Challenge Series is probably one of the toughest in the series but also one of the most scenic and enjoyable, yes we did find some enjoyable moments in the ride but like everything down here it's the lumpy bits in between the big lumpy bits that you have to deal with. We were all meeting up with Suzanne who was looking to tick this one off in her series challenge, 10 rides to complete 52 climbs. We had baking hot weather all day so it was always going to make it just that little bit more of a challenge. We had a planned a drinks/snack stop at mile 30 in Goathland at the Aidensfield Garage where many of the scenes in Heartbeat took place, then a lunch stop at mile 50 at Rosedale Abbey with an immediate café legs climb of Rosedale Chimney, who's idea was that ! We had a great day out riding with some great steep and long climbs along with some fantastic views on top of the moors and our utmost sympathy goes to the sheep who were also struggling in the heat that day.
