Start: Atmosphere Academy Public Charter Schools - 7th Grade Campus 5959 Broadway 2nd Floor Bronx, NY 10463 A 50-mile relaxing meander along bike paths and then 30 miles of scenic rolling roads around reservoirs and through the woods of south western Connecticut. This is road-bike-friendly, but the state of the bike paths and some of the conditions of the shoulders in Westchester mean you might be more comfortable on a road bike with tires larger than 32mm. The route starts and ends at the West 242nd Street subway station, and passes several train stations along the way. A number of the roads on this route in Westchester have heavy car traffic with varying qualities of shoulders, so experience riding on busier roads is recommended. Between White Plains and Rye Brook you don't encounter too many townships or stores, so be prepared to bring plenty of snacks and hydration.
