Hawthorne to Gainesville via Gainesville Hawthorne Trail

This is a great ride that you can take from either direction. This description assumes the ride goes from Hawthorne to Gainesville, but it could go easily start in Gainesville.

This is a beautiful ride with much of the trail recently being re-paved. There are several places to stop and take a side trip, well work it for the overlooks. When you get to Gainesville, or if you start in Gainesville, you can venture around Gainesville and check out the University of Florida. This is the perfect way to spend 2 1/2 hours enjoying nature and a well laid out bicycle path.
