# Route
* From Luton Town Hall travel away from Luton Town Centre towards the Galaxy Centre using caution as this is a pedestrian zone.   
* At the bottom of Gordon Street join the cycle lane along New Bedford Road.
* After the traffic lights merge into the right hand lane then merge into the left hand lane before the traffic lights.
* Follow the road keeping left onto New Bedford Road keeping to the cycle lane.
* After about 1 mile before the roundabout join the cycle lane/footpath on other side of road.
* After passing the cricket ground on your right go straight on crossing the zebra crossing going straight onto the cycle path.
* At crossing with junction of Austin Road cross the road onto other side of road and keep going straight then turn left onto NCN 6.
* Follow this cycle track until it joins Riddy Lane at end of road turn left go across crossing and rejoin NCN 6 track.Follow this track across Neville Road back onto track until it comes out onto Bramingham Road.
* Just before roundabout go across crossing to rejoin cycle track going all the way along Sundon Park Road.
* Just after the bridge on your left join Sundon Park Road going straight past Sundon Park shops and Lealands High School on your right.
* Keep going straight out into the countryside.
* At the end of the road turn right onto Sundon Road then go around the left bend then take the left turn onto Church Road going straight up the hill into Upper Sundon following the road round to the right then round to the left onto Harlington Road passing @point[Sundon Hills](d,11067.67) on your right.
* Follow this road down a steep incline all the way through to Harlington going straight on to the end of the road then @point[turn left onto Westoning Road](d,14110.8) going straight onto the end of the road then turn right onto @slice[A5120 flitwick road](d,15201.54,15412.07) (taking care crossing this busy and fast road) 
* Follow this road all the way through passing through Westoning onto Flitwick.
* At the mini roundabout go straight onto steppingley road passing @slice[Flitwick Train Station](d,18987.16,19076.57) on your right.
* Follow this road all the way then turn right at roundabout onto Froghall Road going across all mini roundabouts then turn right at roundabout onto Ampthill road passing shell garage on your right then follow road all the way then straight across mini roundabout then turn left onto Kings Road.
* At end of road turn left onto High Street then turn right onto Pulloxhill Road at end of road turn left onto High Street then follow road round to the right onto Barton Road following this road all the way to the A6 road.
* Turn right by going straight then right onto cycle path/footpath then keeping to pathway then going straight onto Bedford Road going into Barton Village.
* After roundabout keep left onto Bedford Road then go straight onto Hexton Road then onto Barton Road then turn right onto Hexton Road going uphill whereas this is quite a steep incline and its a "segment" 
* After the hill the road goes downhill then turn right onto Lilley Road following the road and then turning off to the left onto an offroad track and follow this track all the way whereas it goes downhill joining the Chilterns Cycleway then uphill to come out onto another track where you turn right 
* Follow this track all the way through turning left at the bottom using the track at the side of the golf course on your left then turn right onto Warden Hill Road then at end of road turn left onto the A6 by joining the cycle lane/Footpath following the A6 all the way back to Luton Town Centre along the cycle lane.

# Notes

* This ride can be done anytime of the year as it is mainly road riding with little offroad cycling.
* When cycling with the golf course on your left continue straight on instead of turning right onto warden hill road, this is an alternative route back into luton town centre
* This ride is approx 30 miles so you need to be fairly fit
* This ride starts in Luton town centre where you can lock your cycle and get some lunch or a drink before your ride.
* There is quite a steep incline on Hexton hill this is a segment so why not try and get on the leader board
* Take care crossing the busy @slice[Westoning Road Junction](d,15162.88,15527.04) as this is a very fast road.
