Routedetails

If you're looking for a relatively flat easy country stroll of moderate distance this is the route for you.  We used this route for opening our 2021 Fit N Fun riding season to allow riders to knock the dust off the bike and loosen the muscles up a bit.

The route is a slow rolling rural ride utilizing mostly country roads that meanders thru farmland and Amish homesteads.  There are a couple of bridges crossing Lost River for some serinety along the way but mostly just farm houses and some cows and goats.  The pavement is in very good condition other than about a 3/4 mile stretch on the south end of the route.

We ususally begin all our routes from The Gazebo at Historic Downtown Orleans Square but due to a planned car show and community events we kicked this one off at the @poi[Orleans Elementary School](38903203).  Either option is good for this route.

There are dining options in Orleans and if traveling from the north or south you can find additional dining at Mitchell and Paoli, Indiana.
