This route covers the Rail Trail between Beechworth & Yackandandah, then connects back to Yack via Allans and Osbornes Flat and the new trail along Yackandandah Creek. From there it travels along Back Creek Rd and through Tunnel Gap to Bruarong and Mudgegonga. The final stretch heads up the infamous "back o' Stanley" climb into Stanley before a nice fast descent through the forest at Hurdle Flat and finale into Beechworth.

Start in the historic goldrush town of Beechworth, travel down the old stomping ground of Ned Kelly & Gang in the Woolshed Valley to the first supply point at the quaint hamlet of Eldorado. Then traverse the imposing granite country of Mt. Pilot National Park to the next feedstop at Chiltern. From there the climbing gets serious as we head back to Beechworth via Skeleton Hill and the summit and 360 degree views of Mt. Pilot itself. Take a photo opportunity at the beautiful Woolshed Falls before the nasty sting in the tail via the climb up back up to Beechworth on Malakoff Rd. (less)
