This route is a remote mixed-surface route in Western PA that crosses over into West Virgina.  The gravel sections are mostly Category 2 gravel roads, (dirt roads covered in loose aggregate with some washboading on the steep downhills).

# Route

* Park at @point[5 Points Parking Lot](d,75229.73).

* Be sure to look out for the @poi[colorful garage](64285077).
* Take care at the bottom of Lyons Road where you @slice[turn right onto Kings Creek Road](d,24876.95,25244.76), as it is a steep downhill into the intersection 
* At mile 22 there is a @slice[sustained gravel climb](d,35493.87,38007.08): 1.6 miles at 5.8% -- It is a slog, but the surface is pretty good.

## Warnings
1. Potential off leash dog on the right before the @point[powerlines](d,37646.5).
2. **Dangerous intersection:**  As you come down the hill, the @slice[road T's](d,24844.01,25208.93) and there is poor visability.  Be sure to check your brakes.

# Notes
* As the route is a figure 8, it can be cut short by turning left off  @slice[Aunt Clara Road](d,16355.8,16708.88) onto Rock School Road.
* Gravel bike with at least 35 MM tires recommended.
* At 50 miles with close to 6,000ft of climbing, a moderate level of fitness is recommended.
* This route is in an isolated area.  Bring water and food to last a 5 hour ride.
* @poi[Coal Tipple Brewing](64285079) is close to the start/end point for good post-ride beer, but they do not serve food.  @poi[Baving Roadhouse](64285080) is a good choice as they have a kitchen.
