Bicycle Rides Northwest

Bicycle tours in the Pacific Northwest on both road and gravel.

Bicycle Rides Northwest (BRNW) provides fully supported scenic bicycling adventures to discover the beauty of the Pacific Northwest region and the heart and soul of its communities. BRNW holds two, one-week road cycling tours each summer: one in the state of Oregon and a second in a neighboring state (California, Washington, Idaho and Montana). BRNW also offers a three day gravel adventure in September, riding remote dirt/gravel roads in Oregon forests.

To learn more about BRNW, visit the website, Bicycle Rides Northwest or Facebook page Bicycle Rides NW.

These rides show the beauty of north-central Oregon using quiet country roads that few cyclists know to explore. The area of rolling terrain is covered with huge ranches, small farms, wide open spaces and fantastic views of snow covered summits. Ancient volcanic buttes, whose flanks are covered with centuries old juniper and fragrant sagebrush, are here to be discoverd. And it is not all bone dry desert east of the Cascade Mountains - the Deschutes, Crooked, John Day and the Columbia Rivers provide liquid accents to this River Canyon Country.

The small towns along these routes have wonderful little cafes, restaurants and lodging owned by friendly local residents who love having cyclists stop in and enjoy their hospitality. Towns like Madras, Metolius, Culver, Moro, Fossil, Maupin, Mitchell and Prineville are a few of the communities. To experience the area, come ride one of the Oregon scenic bikeways in Jefferson County: Madras Mountain Views Scenic Bikeway.
