September social ride, with a focus on viewing progress on the shared pathway extension along River Road between Ambleside and Latrobe.
Meet at the car park and reserve below the Don Railway yard.
Other than over a short distance at the start and end, the going is riverside level and much of it along shared pathways.
Tagged on to the Latrobe end is an optional extension to the Mersey River bridge at Warrawee - the Wild Mersey MTB area and the start of the 'Railton Express' trail. Those who don't wish to do the extension can get a starter cup of coffee in the Crowded Lounge in Latrobe until joined by the others on their return.
The full ride is around 45 km so those who'd prefer shorter can turn around anywhere along the route (after letting the leader know).
BYO lunch and a chat on return to Don.
Be aware: Please don’t come if at all unwell or have symptoms of becoming unwell.
Please note that in registering for this ride you are agreeing with these statements:
I agree to abide by the physical distancing rules as explained by the ride leader

COVID-19 - social ride guidelines
Our social rides are following a new set of protocols to help make our rides compliant with government directions.
• Meeting places for rides will have plenty of space for people to maintain 1.5 to 2 metre distancing while unloading bikes, listening to the briefing, and getting ready to ride.
• Riders are asked to register by email or online here so there is no paper being handed around on the day.
• Ride leaders will have sanitiser on hand in case of needing to touch bikes or riders, but please feel free to bring your own.
• Please do not touch other people’s bikes or gear unless invited to do so.
• Don’t put down gloves, bottles etc in public places.
• People are asked not to attend rides if they have fever, cough, sore throat, fatigue, shortness of breath or runny nose.
