Pawleena Penna Circuits - Cancelled due to rain

Created by: Bicycle Network Tasmania

Sat. September 24 10:00AM

Location: Sorell Woolworths carpark

Organizers: David Atkinson

Start at the large Woolworths carpark in Sorell near McDonalds where there is plenty of room to safely leave your car. We'll meet there at 9.45am to leave by 10am.

We ride towards little known Pawleena on a quiet country road (note this is unsealed) and do the circuit back to Sorell which is about 17 k's. Either finish here and have your coffee at McDonalds or continue with the group to do the Penna circuit which is mostly offroad and on a dedicated bike track. All up about 30 k's and return about 12.30pm to McDonalds for lunch (sounds like a plug for McDonalds which it's not meant to be).

Suits all bike types and riders.

Your Ride Leader will be David Atkinson.

RSVP-ers (see below) will be advised by email of any changes. Also feel free to contact David on 0423 241 211 or via email davidleighatkinson@gmail.com.

Our social rides leaders are following a set of protocols to help make our rides compliant with government directions:
- Meeting places for rides will have plenty of space for people to maintain 1.5 to 2 metre distancing while unloading bikes, listening to the briefing, and getting ready to ride.
- Coffee spots will be outdoors or very well ventilated, and people will wear masks when sitting together so everyone feels comfortable.
- Riders are asked to register online or via phone so there is no paper being handed around on the day.
- People are asked not to attend rides if they have fever, cough, sore throat, fatigue, shortness of breath or runny nose.

In registering for one of our Club rides you are agreeing with these statements:

I agree to abide by the physical distancing rules as explained by the ride leader.

I understand that participation in bicycle rides involves riding on public roads used by other traffic and I am aware of the hazards involved in that and in riding bicycles in general. In my judgement, I/my family have sufficient competence and experience to participate safely in such riding. I/my family agree to comply with all road rules and to directions given by Tasmania Police or event organisers. I will take responsibility for any children under the age of 16 years who are in my care on the ride. I hereby release, exempt and indemnify the organisers, sponsors and all other persons involved in the event/s from all liability whether in negligence or otherwise which may arise in connection with the participation of myself/ my family in these events. The organisers reserve the right to refuse entry. The organisers may vary the route or venues without notice. I am happy to be contacted with information about membership of Bicycle Network.
