Routedetails

This is a nice quiet route from Dereham to Blakeney. Blakeney is a a picturesque village on the North Norfolk Coast popular with walkers, holidaymakers and bird watchers. Most of the North Norfolk coast is designated an [Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Area_of_Outstanding_Natural_Beauty) (AONB). Although the route starts and finishes in Dereham, you could also start and finish in  Blakeney, there is a large car park (National Trust members can park for free) and several good places to eat/drink as well as public toilets by the car park.

# Route

* If starting in Dereham, park in the @point[Theatre Street car park](d,90704.1) as it is free. If starting in Blakeney then park in @point[The Quay car park](d,45680.45).
* The ride out of Dereham is a little busy at first but soon settles down.
* @photo[Blakeney Quay](2157618) is very beautiful and there are lots of eateries in the town along with a couple of good pubs.
* Sunrise/Sunset in Blakeney can be spectacular. If you have time, visit @poi[Morston](2568360) and take a seal trip.
* @poi[The Wiveton Bell](2568362) is a great pub stop but expensive for food.
* In summer months the @poi[Wiveton Hall Cafe](2568361) is a nice food/drink stop and eccentric, plus you can pick your own strawberries and there's plenty of room for your bike.
* The @photo[Art Cafe in Glandford](2157617) is a recommended @poi[coffee stop](2552864) being the cafe associated or owned by Grey Seal Coffee Roasters you are ensured a good brew.
