Starting at the iconic @slice[Cape Lookout State Park](d,0,307), this is one of the few fat bike rides that forms a loop, which makes the logistics simple and fun. Parking @poi[here](8446798) is $5 and includes restrooms and running water to fill up your water bottles. Camping is also available on-site.
 
@slice[Walk down to the beach](d,0,192.14), throw your leg over your bike, and head north along coast. As you ride away from the campground, you’ll start to feel the welcome isolation that riding along a spit brings. Other beach visitors will fade away from the environment, leaving only you and your riding partners to take it all in.
 
As you get to the @slice[end of the spit](d,8041.77,9125.33), you’ll see @photo[Three Arch Rocks](4225727) off in the distance. This is a great place to grab a seat on a log, take in the views, and have a peaceful snack break.
 
On the way back, make sure to hunt for sand dollars, beach glass, and other beach-combing treasures.
