# Route

* Park at the parking lot at Tunnel and Lower Church Road
* A lovely sampler of all types of gravel, with great views, descents, and some lovely art scattered around the landscape.
* Highlight some of the sights
* @slice[3](d,26831.21,28917.45) @slice[big](d,37589.48,39530.86) @slice[climbs](d,50179.33,53428.36) throughout, with the toughest starting around mile 17
* @point[Busy road here](d,14019.73) and @point[dangerous intersection here](d,49514.43)
* **ALERT: Tunnel Bridge at Steep Rock is out as of 7/11/23 - you can hike a bike around, or detour via roads. Route is NOT updated to account for this.**

# Notes

* Lovely throughout riding season, but extremely beautiful views in the fall!
* At least 32mm tires recommended to get by on some of the rougher gravel (and mud if it's wet)
* Riders should be able to climb semi-steep grades, and feel comfortable riding on gravel roads
* Water, food, and bathrooms all available at the beginning of the route, services are relatively sparse throughout.
