Experience three of the finest parks in the metropolitan area: Tryon Creek State Park, George Rogers Park and Mary S. Young State Park. Paved bike paths take you through each park, while interesting, scenic streets connect the parks.

At under 15 miles, this ride is rated as easy/intermediate. Intermediate rating is mainly due to the return climb at Tryon Creek. Most of this ride is either on paved bike/pedestrian paths and low traffic roads, creating a relaxing ride where you can enjoy the surrounding scenery. This route can also be done one-way with a shuttle car. We recommend starting the one-way route at Tryon Creek for an easy downhill start towards Lake Oswego.

Starting at @photo[Tryon Creek State Park](15306822) Nature Center, riders will enjoy the forested, windy downhill bike path all the way to Lake Oswego's First Addition neighborhood. Expect a short, but steep initial climb up E Street  as you bike through this beautiful neighborhood before heading to the lake. After you cross the bridge over Lake Oswego, head through another neighborhood before crossing 43 into historic oldtown. As you bike through oldtown, take some time to read about the history of Lake Oswego via their @photo[posted signs](15306824) throughout the neighborhood, all the way to George Rogers Park where you can get great views of the Willamette River and see the @photo[original iron smelter](15306827)!

From George Rogers Park, cross the bridge and cycle along the Willamette on Old River Road. Take in @photo[beautiful views of the river](15306830) along a low traffic road, before heading into the neighborhood before Mary S. Young Park.

Upon entering Mary S. Young State Park, you'll stay on the Riverside Loop Trail and shortly encounter a @photo[fork in the road](15306823)- stay to the right and head uphill to make it to the main parking lot near the dog park.

If you're doing the out and back on this route, head back and prep yourself mentally for the final climb from Lake Oswego up to Tryon Creek State Park.

# Important Reminders

Parking at all three parks is free! Due to the low elevation, the ride can be done year-round, however due to some steep declines/inclines (Tryon Creek, E Street) it's recommended during good weather days. Bike needs can be met at Lakeside Bicycles in Lake Oswego as well as a bike repair station at George Rogers Park.
