The Lunch Loop is a short, easily accessed ride that is frequented by local riders. It is so called because it is short enough to do over lunch. If you are in the Branson area and need a short loop to be able to knock out a quick ride, this is a good option. And at over 100 feet of climbing per mile, it falls into the category of "Pretty Hilly" on the Ozark Hilliness Rating Scale (which we may or may not have just made up).

This loop and its description start at the Taney County Health Office as that is where several locals hop onto the loop, but this is not necessarily the best place to start. You can of course start the loop anywhere, but three decent options for a place to start are:
1. Branson Hills Shopping Center (There is a back parking lot just off the loop)
2. Downhill Bikes (Branson's local bike shop)
3. @poi[Commuter lot](156852550) at the intersection of Victor Church Road and the Ozark Mountain High Road.

Starting at the health office, you'll quickly descend Bee Creek Road and ascend a short climb toward Branson Hills. @poi[Be careful](156852546) navigating traffic here as you'll need to cross over to turn left onto Wintergreen Rd. After that, you'll make a right onto Bird Rd at @poi[the Yakov sign](156852319). A short and steep climb will take you past @poi[a parking area](156852547) on the backside of the shopping center, which can be a decent spot to start your loop.

Continue along Bird Rd, which turns into Flynn Rd, and you'll eventually get to Highway 248. At this intersection is @poi[Downhill Bikes](156852318), Branson's local bike shop. You'll turn right onto 248, then after a short bit, a left turn brings you onto Buena Vista Rd. You'll then taking a winding course along a few roads to Park Blvd. There are some steep ups and downs along Park Blvd, so be aware of traffic and wildlife.

At the bottom of Park Blvd you'll start 2.2 miles of climbing, the bulk of which is on Sycamore Church Road. While this is one of the longer climbs in the Branson area, it is not particularly steep at around 4%. The climbs tops out just before intersecting with highway 248, which you'll turn left onto and be treated to a @poi[good view](156852608) of the Bull Creek valley.

After crossing the Ozark Mountain High Road, you'll turn right onto Victor Church Rd. Notably, several local riders will ride along the High Road to complete the loop, but this is not recommended, particularly for those unfamiliar with the area. Victor Church Rd is a lightly-traveled and winding road that eventually drops down into Emory Creek. Be aware that the final descent is quick and makes a turn at a bridge. You'll then face a 0.5 mile, 5% climb out of the creek valley.

Victor Church road comes out near the Ozark Moutain High Road, close to a commuter parking lot, which can be another good spot to start the loop. Cross under highway 65 and turn right onto the outer road. After 1.3 miles on the outer road, you'll take a left onto Rinehart Rd, which will take you back to the health office.

-Remember that the health office is an arbitrary start point. Feel free to hop on the loop wherever is convenient.  
-While there aren't any crazy climbs on this route, it is hilly at over 100 feet of climbing per mile.
