Caldenno Pass: A New Cycling Trail in Valmalenco
Less experienced cyclists can easily reach the Bosio Refuge and relax along the river... while more daring cyclists can reach the Caldenno Pass and enjoy the breathtaking view.

Starting from @poi[Ferrari Ski Service](158259418), you cycle along the old historic path of the Somprato district and continue on the car road until the junction for "Lago di Chiesa."
Up to Alpe Lago the terrain is asphalted/concrete with non-extreme climb.

Once you reach Alpe Lago the slopes increase, and you will find some steep sections. The road is well-trodden until the intersection with the @poi[Rifugio Bosio](158259419) trail.

Once you reach Rifugio Bosio, it seems like an enchanted landscape.
The hard part comes after the Bosio Refuge, because the trail becomes narrower and the gradients exceed 15%, with peaks of 30%.
From Bosio to the @poi[Caldenno Pass](158259420), it's only 3 km and 500 meters of elevation gain, but... you can feel it in your legs. Finally, arrive at the pass, take the ritual photo, and then downhill to Chiesa in Valmalenco.

Partendo da Ferrari Ski Service si pedala lungo il vecchio sentiero storico della contrada Somprato e si prosegue sulla strada delle auto fino al bivio per l'Alpe Lago "Lago di Chiesa"
Fino all'Alpe Lago il terreno è asfaltato/cementato con pendenze non estreme.
Arrivati all'Alpe Lago le pendeze aumentano e troverete degli strappi.
La strada è ben battuta fino all'incrocio del sentiero del Rifugio Bosio.
Una volta arrivati al Rifugio Bosio sembra un paesaggio incantato.
Il difficile è dopo il Rifugio Bosio perchè il sentiero diventa più stretto di carreggiata e pendenze oltre il 15% con picchi del 30%.
Dalla Bosio al Passo Caldenno sono solo 3 km e 500 mt di dislivello però... si sentono nelle gambe.
Giunti finalmente al Passo foto di rito e giù in discesa fino a Chiesa in Valmalenco
